Congratulations, you have been selected by the Michigan Steps Up Healthcare Group for recognition for outstanding service in disease prevention programs at a luncheon to be held on October 14, 2005. Your program was reviewed by a panel of Michigan Steps Up stake holders based on criteria reflecting outstanding performance in disease prevention concepts especially promoting either healthy eating, physical activity or not smoking. This is the first year of our recognition program and we are very pleased to acknowledge the work you and your organization are doing.

Michigan's Surgeon General, Kimberly Dawn Wisdom, will present the recognition. Again, congratulations on this achievement.

Michigans Surgeon General Kimberly Dawn Wisdom, M.D. speaking about the recipients of Michigans first Michigan Steps up Recognition Awards-presented at Kellog Center Michigan State University Campus-October 14, 2005.  Dr. Paul and his Child Health Initiative Program (CHIP) was one of only 13 programs in the State of Michigan that received this recognition.
