8/14/2008 - Echoing AOA Past President Peter B. Ajluni, DO, AOA member Paul Ehrmann, DO, is featured in the 8/11/08 Crain’s Detroit Business as one of the magazine’s “Health Care Heroes.”  Dr. Ehrmann, a family physician practicing in Royal Oak, MI, was highlighted for his efforts to combat the growing childhood obesity epidemic, especially by founding the Children’s Health Initiative Program in 2002.  This program promotes wellness by teaching children in local elementary schools about healthy eating and exercise habits.  Dr. Ehrmann also has written a book on the subject, Generation XL — The Childhood Obesity Pandemic: A Community Based SolutionRead the full article online.

5/13/2008 - Paul Ehrmann, DO, is a major supporter of President Ajluni's "Fit for Life" Initiative? In fact, Dr. Ehrmann has been chosen by Greater West Bloomfield Township (MI) as an honoree to receive the Volunteer Service Award for his work with childhood obesity. He also recently published a letter to the editor in the JAOA addressing the topic of obesity awareness, which you can read online.
