Physicians Available to Provide Tips on Making Healthy Choices During the Holidays

(Chicago, IL) More and more, it seems that bigger is better during the holiday season. People want bigger turkeys to feed families and friends; bigger decorations to impress their neighbors; and bigger gifts to give to their loved ones. However, when it comes to holiday weight gain, bigger isn't better.

A 2005 report from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development found that the holiday season between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day is the only time that weight changes significantly.

Osteopathic physicians (D.O.s) can provide tips on how to make healthy choices during the holidays to prevent weight gain.
